A couple of weeks ago we were called out to this leaking flat roof in Tamworth. When we arrived at the job the customer had been told by another Tamworth roofing company that the roof was a GRP roof. On inspection we found that it wasn’t GRP but actually an EPDM rubber roof with a life expectancy of 50 years. This roof was obviously not 50 years old or anywhere near it. We stripped it off and applied a high performance bituminous roofing system. Our qualified roofing operatives renewed the waterproof membrane by applying a 2mm torch on underlay with a 4.5mm polyester torch on cap sheet in black mineral. This is a far more hard wearing system than a 1.2mm EPDM membrane.
